'Just as the Dalai Lama and thousands of other Tibetans fled their homeland, Akong Tulku Rinpoche, Tibetan Buddhist master, also made the perilous journey to India in 1959.  The film charts this journey & his subsequent arrival in the UK, where he devotes his life to helping others. Akong’s fundamental message of compassion-in-action shines through and his example inspires thousands of people to work to make the world a better place. Akong was in China, October 2013, about to embark on another humanitarian mission to Tibet when he was murdered. Despite this shocking end to a remarkable life, the film ends on a message of hope.'

After the film executive producer of the film, Vin Harris, will take a question and answer session.
