With a great psychedelic score, this is a fantastic erotic horror tale about a vixen vampiress seducing and killing women to appease her insatiable thirst for female blood.

On a remote island, beautiful bloodsucker Countess Nadine Oskudar lures unwary victims with her seductive nightclub act and sets her sights on silky blonde Linda, initiating her into the realm of love beyond the grave. After their first carnal encounter, Linda wanders the beach in a daze and falls under the care of Dr. Seward, who's intent on using Nadine to become a vampire himself.
The film is loosely based on Bram Stoker's Dracula.
"Silly, sinister Spanish/German psychedelic lesbian soft-core vampire horror with superb soundtrack" - FILM 4
"Jess Franco's 1970 erotic horror has become a cult landmark in Eurotrash entertainment." - TOTAL FILM
"Jesus Franco's Vampyros Lesbos is a pyscho-sexadelic celebration of softcore lesbianism and vampire lore." - SLANT MAGAZINE
" Vampyros Lesbos offers some of Franco's dreamiest, most whacked out imagery. A literal inversion of Stoker's Dracula — with a female vampire, sunny beach house locales, mosquito netting in place of cobwebs, etc. — the film unfolds in a deliberate manner." - ECCENTRIC CINEMA
"There are two reasons to take a closer look at Vampyros Lesbos: For one thing, there is the superb soundtrack that is a great addition to the (to some extent) surreal images, making the movie an unusual movie experience. For another thing, Soledad Miranda does a great job as a leading act as countess Nadine Carody. Franco really knows how to capture her beauty to bring it on the big screen." - MOVIE CENSORSHIP
"One of the most beloved Jess Franco films and one of the high points of the european exploitation films from the 70′s. It’s based on Bram Stoker’s Dracula, and it’s both artsy and trashy at the same time." - RARE CULT CINEMA
The soundtrack was composed by Manfred Hubler and Siegfried Schwab and is a great mixture of acid jazz and rock 'n' roll riffs.
The soundtrack to Vampyros Lesbos was released as Vampyros Lesbos: Sexadelic Dance Party on compact disc in 1995. The music on the album consists of film music of three Franco films: Vampyros Lesbos, She Killed in Ecstacy and The Devil Came From Akasava.
The soundtrack was a top 10 hit on the British Alternative charts on its release over 20 years after the film was released.
Quentin Tarantino used some of the soundtrack in Jackie Brown (1998).
