Workshop: Campaigning for the Right to Remain

Understanding the asylum and immigration system, and campaigning for justice

You are invited to a free workshop, run by the National Coalition of Anti-Deportation Campaigns (NCADC), to learn about campaigning for the right to remain in the UK.

Through interactive exercises, discussion, knowledge-sharing and case-studies we hope that participants will come away knowing more about:

ñthe asylum and immigration system,

ñthe problems individuals face going through the system

ñwhat can be done to support individuals applying for asylum or immigration status

ñwhat 'campaigning' means

ñhow activists and local groups can work together to support individuals in their communities

The training is based on the NCADC Campaigning Toolkit(www.ncadc.org.uk/toolkit), a comprehensive printed and online resource for people fighting for justice in their asylum or immigration case, and the groups working to support them.
