Aged 13-18? Come and learn graphic design and illustration in the Star and Shadow Cinema! Focussing on Byker, we'll spend the day learning about illustration and graphic design - doing research into our subjects, drawing by hand, transferring onto the computer and using design and illustration packages. We'll discuss what makes a strong illustration, and how to bring out the characters of our subjects in the design. Thanks to the Canny Little Library, we'll have access to a wealth of research materials - including text and pictures, books and zines, help and advice, to help us with our research and design. No previous experience is necessary. You're welcome to bring your own equipment, but everything you need will be provided.
