What do you think needs to change, or stay the same, to make places in the north even better to live and work in over the next 10 years? 

We'll use the open space event structure so everyone who comes has chance to share their ideas, listen, talk and think about making the best future for our parts of the world. 

The ideas will be open and free for anyone to take away and act on, and the final session will be a "What next?" discussion among everyone taking part.

Hannah directory asks three questions:

• What great stuff is happening in places in England's north now?
• Who is doing it?
• How can more of it happen?

Hannah looks for great stuff happening in the arts, music, business, new kinds of social organisation, scientific discovery and anything else.

The 2014-15 directory and launch celebration has contributions from people and organisations in Newcastle, Gateshead, Durham, Sheffield, Barrow, Manchester, Stockport, Liverpool, Preston, Huddersfield and Leeds.
