Tales of Solomon and Sheba
The Queen of Sheba is provocative, seductive and a virgin. She visits King Solomon to test his wisdom. Riddles and tricks, desire and foolishness ensue as they unravel each other's histories.
Tonight, Sally Pomme Clayton (photo) will be telling us stories from Sumerian, Hebrew, Christian and Muslim traditions. She will conjure the powerful archetypes of Solomon and Sheba. This vibrant and dynamic performance is told with an ancient Ethiopian story scroll.
