Tempo Tempo and the Star & Shadow Cinema have the absolute pleasure of presenting to you one of the biggest names and pioneers in electronic music over the last 40 years, as well as some brilliant support acts.
Dieter Moebius is co-founder of legendary Krautrock outfit CLUSTER, which he formed together with Hans-Joachim Roedelius and the notoriously mysterious Conrad Schnitzler. Moebius (and Cluster) is the kind of person mentio...ned in the same breath as KRAFTWERK, CAN, NEU! And FAUST when talking about German music and the history of electronic and avant-garde music, having helped shape what is now broadly termed ‘Krautrock’, collaborated with BRIAN ENO and iconic producer CONNY PLANK and was even widely played by Cosmic Disco DJs in early 80s Italy.
This is simply not to be missed.
This video should give you a taste, although Moebius’s music spans so many influences that it would be impossible to sum his music up in one track:

REVIEWS
-------------
'Brilliantly straddling Harmonia's mid-70's Moebius and today's model, weaving house/soul/Afro vocal snippets into a melting pot of beautiful, strange rhythm. Kraut-jungle anyone?'
Mojo Magazine
The man is glowing evidence of a brain fizzing with energy and renewal... a kind of robo-digested Italia-house, with undulating pianos and electro-whooshes building up little jagged peaks... weaving house/soul/Afro vocal snippets into a melting pot of beautiful, strange rhythm. Kraut-jungle anyone?

SUPPORT
-------------
We are equally as excited to announce that we’ll be seeing support from Dead Voices on Air - real name Mark Spybey – who is an accomplished and widely recognised musician in his own right.
Mark was a member of Zoviet France for a while, before going on to form Reformed Faction. He was a member of CAN’s guitarist, MICHAEL KAROLI’s band, called Sofortkontakt! until Michael’s sad death in 2001, and has collaborated with an extensively impressive array of avant-garde giants such as MICK HARRIS, GENESIS P. ORRIDGE, ZEV ASHER and many more. He’s also done a remix for FAUST and toured with DAMO SUZUKI, Michael Karoli, Michael Rother and Dieter Moebius before.
You can have a listen to music from his new album here:

And check out his website here:

Finally, we have Onoma (http://www.myspace.com/geometryoftorchsongs), whose music creates lengthy and wide-scoped pieces based on the repetition of short themes, merging vintage keyboard sounds with percussive guitars and effects. They’ve performed with a range of different musicians, and Oscar Ruiz Fernandez played with DAMO SUZUKI at the Star & Shadow just over a year ago.
Don’t miss what’s going to be a night of the highest quality music. Tickets are £8/£7 concessions, and you can buy them in advance from here:
