For
the last Bank Holiday weekend Sunday, a super special Fresh Hell, with
Coldcut, pioneers and Godfathers of DJ/AV culture, and creators of Ninja
Tune, one of the most repected independent record labels in the World.
As well as Dj'ing, Coldcut's Matt Black will also be playing live using
the soon to be released App for iPad and iPhone, 'Ninja Jamm'.
PLUS, we have UK Hip Hop pioneer/legend, Juice Aleem, solo artist and
one third of the influential collective, 'New Flesh'. Juice was the
first artist (with
production from Luke
Vibert) to release on Ninja Tune sub label, the now iconic, and Mercury
Prize winning Big Dada, and continues his prolific career to this day. To support and bring it all together, we have Raj Pannu (in Coldcut's words "absolutely the best DJ we have worked with") Plus other very special guests TBC!! More info soon…
The night is, in fact, a bit of a re-union (on Raj's birthday too!) as
all the artists were part of an intensive World tour in 2006-07, so it
should be a decent party! Advance Tickets £10, plus booking fee. Available at RPM, Newcastle and at Skiddle.com here, http://www.skiddle.com/whats-on/Newcastle-on-Tyne/Star-%2B-Shadow-Cinema/Fresh-Hell-with-COLDCUT--Juice-Aleem-and-Raj-Pannu/11678748/
