Join us to celebrate the publication of 'Pearl', a collection of short stories from North Eastern Poet, playwright and novelist the late Julia Darling. Julia lived just round the corner from our new Star and Shadow and wrote the novels Crocodile Soup and The Taxi Drivers Daughter featuring the vale and shoe tree in Heaton Park. 
The selection of stories taken from her acclaimed first collection Bloodlines, BBC Radio 4 broadcasts and unpublished archive will be brought to life by two actors including long time collaborator Zoe Lambert and award winning director Laura Lindow.
