THE FALLEN LEAVES

Filled with shock, he decides not to tell anyone and becomes immersed in a forgotten world that he doesn’t want to leave. This is an intimate portrayal of a father and son’s relationship. VIC GODARD: WORK IN PROGRESS (Martyn Smith 2014, 20 mins)

The 7th of May 1977 was a very special day for Scottish music. The White Riot tour rolled into Edinburgh and a generation of musicians got the chance to see Subway Sect for the very first time.

This short film looks at Vic Godard's enduring influence on Scottish music and features 'Vic-ism' a weekend of events celebrating his legacy in Glasgow. As well as interviews with Vic Godard, Sexual Objects' Davy Henderson and Creeping Bent's Douglas MacIntyre, the film features performances from Vic, backed by the Sexual Objects and an appearance by legendary Orange Juice guitarist James Kirk.
