Newcastle-based Bridge + Tunnel Productions has spent nearly ten years making films about cultural identity, migration and equality, specialising in working with refugees, asylum seekers and ethnic minorities in the region. We showcase their work, including recent projects and work-in-progress.

Bridge + Tunnel Productions is an independent media production company based in Newcastle upon Tyne. Their projects revolve around the themes of identity, migration and equality, inspired by their ethos of uncompromising creative vision and social relevance.

The scope of their work ranges from mainstream broadcast documentaries to gallery installations. Their training initiatives include workshops with young refugees and multimedia initiatives with octogenarian members of the local Yemeni community. Unique, exciting and challenging projects making a difference to the lives of audiences and everyone involved in making them.

Now in their tenth year, their films and community projects continue to raise awareness and promote understanding in the UK and internationally.

Tonight we are proud to be showing their work, and they will be present to discuss it with LightBulb 08 Festival Director, Craig Wilson.
