Welcome to the deep-space cruiser Dark Star; charged with the objective of destroying unstable planets and filled with a top-notch crew of dedicated astronauts. Hmmm. Well the first part is true enough but the pilots have enough trouble with anarchy, let alone order - Star Trek was never like this! Fortunately their tour of duty is coming to an end - only one more thermostellar bomb to drop before they can go home. Will their mission be accomplished without hiccups? Come and find out.

[;][/}[](*(&^^$$%^()" - THE MARTIANS
PS: we feel honoured the Martians have got in touch to send us their comments. By politeness, we did not tell them we had no clue what it meant. A triple PHD student in xeno-biology is analysing the transmission for us at the moment - we do believe it means the Martians like the Dark Star. How often can you boast about having seen a film the Martians recommended? In exclusivity at the Star and Shadow.
Part of our Sci-Fi film series. Next month, The Forbidden Planet on Sun 17 February.
