Basement Basement is a collection of films celebrating Ayton Basement, the artist run space that opened on the Quayside in 1976.

Artists who worked there went on to be active in London Film Makers Co-op, London Musicians Collective, and London Video Arts; and Ayton Basement became the Basement Group, then Projects UK, and continues today in Newcastle as Locus+. This screening will be presented here at Star and Shadow and Candid Arts Trust Basement Gallery.
