The result of 18 months’ unprecedented access to the Dalai Lama in his exile home in Dharamsala, Northern India, The Unwinking Gaze offers a unique portrait of the Tibetan spiritual and temporal leader and his recent working life.
With the events that swept across Tibet earlier this year, this films presents a timely insight into the Tibet issue, following the Dalai Lama as he has to strike a balance between his Buddhist vows and the political reality of the Tibetan situation, seeking to lead the Tibetan people towards a peaceful resolution with China.
