How is it possible that Cuba has achieved so much in the health of its population with so few resources? How can one of the world's poorest nations offer to help the world's richest - the US - after Hurricane Katrina?

In 70 countries round the world, lives have been saved and health systems strengthened by Cuban medical teams. This film explains how and why Cuba has set this amazing example, and what we can learn from it.

The film will be followed by a speaker from Medact, the medical action group for global security, which campaigns on health, conflict and development.
