Based on actual recent events, the story is of a Hindu boy and his father who accidentally cross the border into India from their village in Pakistan at a time of extreme  tension between the 2 countries.  Her debut film, she tells of the lives of a family at the bottom of a discriminatory religious ladder and an insensitive social system, which is nevertheless inclusive and pluralist.
