LINK WRAY: The Rumble Man (1997)

“He is the king. If it hadn’t been for Link Wray and ‘Rumble,’ I would have never picked up a guitar’” – Pete Townsend

THEE baddest of bad-ass guitarists, Link Wray walked it AND talked it.

A major foundation stone on the style of every great rock ‘n’ roll guitarist, from Pete Townsend to Brian Setzer, and particularly on the Cramps, Wray was one of the most influential guitar players of all time.

He pioneered an overdriven, distorted electric guitar sound, and invented the power chord, paving the way for punk and heavy rock.

Wray was part Shawnee Native- American, and spent his last years in Denmark, having married four times and sired nine children (one of them named Link Elvis Wray) – NOW THAT’S A LIFE!!!

THE RUMBLE MAN follows the guitarist on his 1996 UK tour, and features classic tracks like ‘Rumble’ and ‘Rawhide’, as well as the man himself on music, life and friendship.

With full supporting programme of vintage juvenile delinquent and hot-rod shorts.
