One of the greatest comedies of our time! The film is a parody of the GDR era and Elvis films in which young Val Kilmer does his second best in his first ever feature role! This joyful insanity is once again brought to you by the great Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker's ZAZ-team!
Abrahams/Zucker Bring out another all-star cast for their comedy masterpiece, Top Secret!
Elvis Presley (sorry, Nick Rivers) is a rock and roll star with legions of fans, a nervous manager and a shaky grasp of German: “There is Sauerkraut in my Leiderhosen.”
Evil Communist Empire
Nick is a last minute replacement to headline an East German cultural festival, but his rock star lifestyle raises hackles amongst the Stasi authorities. Luckily, the French Resistance (Latrine, Deja Vu, Croissant and of course Chocolate Mousse) recruit Nick in an audacious plan to overthrow the evil communist empire. Okay, the plan involves a pantomime cow, but no plan is perfect...
SPIES
Every bad spy movie cliché is trotted out, along with hilarious Elvis-a-like musical numbers, to bring you 90 minutes of puns, slapstick and general hilarity.
The cast is fantastic, with Omar Sharif, Peter Cushing, Warren Clarke and the late Michael Gough all giving pitch perfect performances.
Top Secret! was Val Kilmer’s first major role, and he shows his talent for comedy timing brilliantly, holding his own alongside legends of British and American cinema.
