The film shifts from a scripted drama into something different. Everyone involved knows this is a fictional case but the trial is conducted as if it were real. Featuring a jury of ordinary people, real barristers, police and a judge. "Consent" explores the interwoven stories of the accuser and accused, and the responses of those involved in the Criminal Justice System.
This screening will be hosted by Rape Crisis Tyneside and Northumberland with the opportunity for discussion afterwards.
