A series of short films about the effects of recent welfare and migration reform on the lives of asylum seekers and benefit claimants in the UK. Produced by some of the very people affected by the reforms, these films present the lived experiences of people struggling to survive in the face of government policies that marginalise asylum seekers, the unemployed and the poor. Following the screening there will be a discussion on migration, welfare and social justice with the filmmakers and researchers from the Institute of Hazard, Risk and Resilience, Durham University and the Centre for Civil Society and Citizenship, Northumbria University.
