43 (two) is a new site-specific work, by US born artist Kate E Deeming, projected onto walls in post-industrial spaces (the Star & Shadow being the first), the forgotten ‘in-between’ spaces where people and history hover precariously.

US performance artist and film-maker Kate E Deeming has been compared to both Miranda July and Derek Jarman, and has worked in parallel in the worlds of performance/film/installation for over a decade.

43 (two) is a new site-specific work projected onto walls in post-industrial spaces (the Star & Shadow being the first), the forgotten ‘in-between’ spaces where people and history hover precariously. Each of four parts is shown on a separate time code (including the music), presenting a personal experience for the viewer who brings with them their own sense of time and space. The parts balance the worlds of film art and performance film, and expose the ‘in-between’ spaces of the film itself.

Kate E will also be in discussion with Light Bulb 08 director Craig Wilson.
