This film was selected by artist Nina Canell to screen alongside her exhibition Near Here at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Gateshead. 

Filmed in Sweden, Belgium and France by Eric M. Nilsson for Swedish television in 1979, this interview-based film, considers the futility and desires of communicating through a number of intimate conversations.

Eric M. Nilsson was born 1935 in Brussels. He studied at the prestigious IDHEC in France and moved to Sweden in 1951 where he produced a comprehensive number of experimental documentaries for Swedish public television. This documentary has been specially translated into English for the purposes of this screening.
