Rae Spoon - My Prairie Home* (77mins):
In Chelsea McMullan’s documentary-musical, My Prairie Home, indie singer Rae Spoon takes us on a playful, meditative and at times melancholic journey. Set against majestic images of the infinite expanses of the Canadian Prairies, Spoon sweetly croons us through their queer and musical coming of age. Interviews, performances and music sequences reveal Spoon’s inspiring process of building a life of their own, as a trans person and as a musician. Find out more: http://www.raespoon.com/?page_id=955

'My Genderation' film project was set up to record the experiences and perspectives of gender variance. Our mission is to create engaging short films which accurately represents individual journeys with gender expression and self-identity. We have complete empathy for being filmed, after sharing our own journeys on My Transsexual Summer (Ch4). While the My Genderation films are made by trans people about other trans people, they are for a much wider audience, to allow people to connect and empathise with individual journeys.
