The Projectile programme begins with a live web link to the world's favourite libertarian socialist, Noam Chomsky, including a Q and A on anarchism. Famous initially in the field of linguistics, Chomsky has become the leading theorist of American power and foreign policy. He has also made a massive contribution to our understanding of propaganda and the role of the mass media.
Where? Room 001 in the Newcastle Business School and School of Law Building, City Campus East, University of Northumbria.
Free with projectile pass, £5/£3 without (to cover the room/equipment hire).
Acoustic set and late bar, headlined by founder member of the Roaring Jacks, Alistair Hulett. In an eclectic career, the Glasgow based Hulett has drawn on our radical history, from the Peasant's Revolt to the Poll Tax Riots.
Free with projectile pass, £2 without
In Friday midnight's movie, Yuki, the avenging heroine of Lady Snowblood, returns. To escape the gallows she must accept a mission to kill the dangerous anarchist Tokunaga Ransui. Will she succeed? Perhaps you can guess the rest...
In Lady Snowblood 2, Director Toshiya Fujita creates a visually stunning followup to the original gorefest. It will not surprise you to know that the Lady Snowblood were the inspiration for Tarantino's Kill Bill movies.
