Heaton Park like so many of our fine institutions has been abandoned by the Council and handed over to volunteers to run and manage. The Park and its volunteers receive minimal support from Newcastle City Council to maintain this wonderful legacy. The fundraiser is to support the park and the volunteers to make possible the continued existence of this public space.
