Back in October last year we welcomed San Francisco/US Disk Jockey Carlos Souffront for his NCL debut at the new Star & Shadow. It was the first big club night at the new place and since then we’ve gone from strength to strength hosting the likes of Heartbreak, Rex The Dog, Manpower, Regis & JK Flesh.

Star & Shadow are proud to announce the return of Carlos Souffront on Friday 7th June. The party back in October has already gone down in S&S folklore and set the bar high for all the following parties - we’ve now got one of the most diverse, friendly and welcoming venues in the city - young/old, gay/straight, black/white - as Carlos described after his first visit - ‘It’s Queer Punk As F**k!’ - What dance music should be about. 

Hailing originally from Troy in the Detroit Metro Area, home of contemporaries such as Mike Servito, Tadd Mullinex and Matt Dear. This will be another rare opportunity to catch him in Europe. Carlos is a music gourmet and purveyor of all things lysergic, a mythology having grown that he arguably has the worlds greatest collection of acid records! 

Equally happy traversing the worlds of post punk, experimental music and the outer fringes as he is laying down solid acid and techno bangers - definitely one to take you beyond the dance and perfect for the Star & Shadow.

Carlos was an original component of the Interdimensional Transmissions & No Way Back parties in Detroit and on/off performance & studio collaborator with the likes of Ectomorph.

His taste is rich, his knowledge vast, will endlessly surprise, a rare talent and unique opportunity to catch him at work.

In support will be probably one of finest Disk Jocks in North; alumni of Reverb, S&S, Road to Rimini, Bloated parties and unsung hero of the NE techno canon Justin Mills.
