The Star and Shadow Café is a volunteer run activist project within the Star and Shadow. It is concerned with promoting food sovereignty, fair trade and organic food, training, socialising by means of workshops in the café area or just meeting up and hanging out. It is a vegan and vegetarian café. The work is easy and fun. We keep it simple.

It has a fully equipped kitchen and is well stocked with crockery, cutlery and utensils. It does not have a gas cooker. Only 3 electric hotplates. It does have a great oven.

The café seating area holds 50 people. The serving counter is very spacious.

We do not use anything disposable e.g paper plates, cutlery or take away cups.
