A radio show about Food Sovereignty and Food from Sustainable Sources.
What is food sovereignty? Food sovereignty allows communities control over the way food is produced, traded and consumed. It could create a food system that is designed to help people and the environment rather than make profits for multinational corporations.
Each week on this 30 minute radio show we will speak to people who campaign for food sovereignty.
And to producers and growers in Newcastle Upon Tyne who are producing and selling fresh, healthy food that we can trust.
Episode One on 23rd June will have:
1.Toxic trade deals and chlorinated chicken. Talk by Leah Sullivan from War on Want
2.Mutual Aid Groups in West End of Newcastle.

How you can get involved in campaigning against a US Deal:
Join the Trade Activists Assembly on Saturday June 27th from 10.30am-1pm. We want to invite people to discuss and share ideas about how to campaign locally for trade justice in the context of the lockdown. We’ll also think about how we can specifically build support around specific issues, such as the NHS, the food system, and digital trade.
Please register in advance here: https://www.globaljustice.org.uk/trade-assembly
