Tickets: Pay What You Can
Rubika Shah's energizing film charts a vital London protest movement. Rock Against Racism (RAR) was formed in 1976, prompted by 'music's biggest colonialist' Eric Clapton. White Riot (2019) blends fresh interviews with queasy archive footage to recreate a hostile environment of anti-immigrant hysteria and National Front marches. As neo-Nazis recruited the nation's youth, RAR's multicultural punk and reggae gigs provided rallying points for resistance.
Tickets
We are using a ‘Pay What You Can’ pricing structure in order to ensure the screening is as inclusive as possible.
There are four options available for purchasing a ticket, and we are asking ticket buyers to pay what is right for you in your current circumstances. We don't need any proof of this, simply choose your ticket option according to your personal situation.
Please purchase one ticket per device (i.e. one laptop = one ticket)
How It Works
If you purchase a ticket, before the screening you will receive a link via email to the screening room. You will also receive a unique username and password. The virtual screening room will open 2 hours before the film starts, and in that time you can click the link, log into the virtual screening room, and even participate in an online discussion if you’d like.
In terms of tech requirements, please ensure that you have a connection speed of over 5Mbps - it is also recommended to close other tabs/software if possible. The screening room will work on Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Safari or Firefox. It is compatible with laptops and PCs, and you can use the chat function with phones and tablets as well. ‘Mirroring’ and ‘casting’ are not supported for security reasons, however you can use a HDMI cable to connect to your TV, monitor or projector.
