Zine workshop: speculative fiction and climate crisis

In collaboration with the Canny Little Library

-
Sat 6 November 2021 // 11:00 / Venue Space *

Tickets: Free

Join a zine workshop, where we work with extracts of speculative fiction by Octavia E Butler and Ursula K Le Guin, to create zines that explore the present climate crisis, the future, and what we can do about it. Materials will be provided to make the zines - a mix of writing, mark making, drawing, whatever we feel like - but feel free to bring anything with you, including scraps of paper etc. You will receive links to text extracts with your ticket sign up. Open to 18-21 year olds.

This event is led by social researcher Miranda Iossifidis, in collaboration with the Canny Little Library. Miranda works with speculative fiction reading groups and has led workshops with young people in collaboration with Seven Stories (2019), as well as online and offline zine workshops (2018, 2021).

Please note: the in-person event is limited to 15 persons max. If you are unable to attend the event let us know by emailing us at: cannylittlelibrary@gmail.com

An additional online event open to 16-18 year olds, is taking place on Saturday 6 November:
