A film based on the book by autistic author Naoki Higashida. The film explores the experiences of non-speaking autistic people around the world. 

This is a sensory friendly screening for adult audiences and to support our guests we do not recommend them for young children. 

The film has been chosen by our Beacon Films Volunteers, who will be working on the screening.

The doors open at 1.30pm and the film starts at 2pm.

Access information:

  • The film is subtitled and also features onscreen warnings/countdowns to any potentially triggering or upsetting moments in the film.
  • If you need someone to support you to go to the cinema there are FREE tickets for carers or PA's.
  • The cinema is all on one level and has 4 wheelchair spaces.
  • The screening will have the lights up a bit in the cinema. 
  • The sound will be turned down a bit.
  • The film will be screened with English (SDH) Subtitles.
  • The seating will not be sold out, there will be space for social distancing.
  • Mask wearing is encouraged for people who can wear them.
  • The screening aims to have a relaxed, supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • There will be a break room nearby for anyone to use during the screening who needs it.
