"Brierdene are a group of young musicians who have grown up playing folk music together, meeting at the Sage Gateshead in youth folk ensembles such as Folkworks Saturdays and Folkestra and then progressing into the EFDSS’s National Youth Folk Ensemble. They are influenced by the musical traditions of the North East whilst bringing their own character and enthusiasm to live performances. This is their first headlining gig and they are over the moon that it is hosted at the Star and Shadow."
