We are Star and Shadow volunteers who believe in mutual aid as a form of political participation where people take responsibility for providing for one another through coordinated collective care. We see that times are hard for people and only going to get worse during the winter. At the same time we have a warm building, plenty of space and a commercial kitchen. We want to show solidarity with actions rather than warm words.

This evening we are providing a place where local people can come and take part in activities, talk to each other, enjoy a free hot meal and experience how by organising collectively we can improve our lives today and build confidence in our ability to build a fair, sustainable world tomorrow.

We want people to get involved in this project; to see it grow and thrive.
