A seasonal family show mixing a social dancing ceilidh with theatre and storytelling. A winter’s mummers play with a narrative exploring global warming issues. With live music from the Storytellers Streetband.
"As Jack Frost tries to seize Winter into his icy grasp the Sun Queen’s warmth proves too much. She, in turn, calls upon St George and then Dr Blood to seek out and reveal Baron Big Oil's beastly curse. But it's Father Christmas's intervention which identifies the problem and calls upon all present to save Winter."
A Mummers Winter Ceilidh: Too Darn Hot’ is written by Ken Patterson. New folk dance tunes are composed by Stu and Fi Finden of Whapweasel and played by Armstrong Bridge’s Storytellers Streetband. Chris Bostock the storyteller is the special guest as Father Christmas. Bring friends and family and come ready to dance and enjoy the storytelling.
