This 'cinematic masterpiece' (Guardian) stars Liza Minnelli as Sally Bowles, cabaret singer at the Kit Kat Club in 1930s Berlin. The foreground story is ostensibly about her life at the club and involvement in a sexy and decadent menage a trois. The real story though is the rise of nazism as it cynically seeps into everyday life. The song and dance numbers are superb - Minnelli's talent shines through and Joel Grey as Emcee is both creepy and magnificent.
