THERE WILL BE NO TICKETS ON THE DOOR, YOU MUST BOOK ONLINE. IT IS GOING TO SELL OUT COMPLETELY VERY SOON!

Another exciting Star and Shadow fundraising gig is on the way! This time we are extremely pleased to say we have been very lucky again and got 7 of the finest live acts in the city. The gig is named in tribute to local superstar music and street photographer Nostalgia Kid aka David Hall as an appreciation and celebration for all that he has done and continues to do for the local music and street photography scenes documenting and archiving culture and the people in the city.

Tickets will be on a pay as you can basis. Tickets for less than the suggested donation of £7 will be available on the door only.

Fashion Tips

In the last six months Fashion Tips have released their first EP, "Their synthy noise-rock squall has already rapidly established them as an electrifying, must-see live act" - Narc Magazine.

No Teeth

If you came to the last fundraising gig they played here you'll know there's no band like them in Newcastle or in the world, a distinctive wall of art rock and noise pop made to dance to, delivered by a six piece who deserve a bigger stage than ours like they had supporting Warmduscher on tour a year ago and will inevitably get it. Their first full length album is on the way soon.

"Long live The New Nuisance and the chaos that ensues wherever its seeds are sown." - Narc Magazine.

A limited selection of a few of No Teeth's tracks are available here as their first full length album is not out yet: https://no-teeth.bandcamp.com/.../everythings-better-than...

However, No Teeth must be seen live for the full New Nuisance experience.

ZILCH PATROL is a new group from Byker, Newcastle upon Tyne featuring Michael (formerly of Waskerley Way and Shy-Talk) on guitars, Hannah on vocals, and John on bass. Their new first album was featured as a best of the week on the front page of Bandcamp’s website recently. The group’s cocktail of noise rock and post-punk is informed by the fuzzed-out guitar textures of Dinosaur Jr. and My Bloody Valentine, the bracing drum machine beats of Big Black and Cocteau Twins, and the adrenaline-fuelled ferocity of Black Flag. Zilch Patrol’s self-titled album, due on 6 October 2023, is driven by programmed drum patterns made up of samples from the legendary 1980s drum machine LinnDrum (AKA LM-2), and waves of sonic carnage achieved through guitar tones produced by way of classic and obscure effects units.

Marginal Gains

Probably the hottest new band in Newcastle at the moment, we couldn't believe how good they were at the last fundraiser so we had to get them back. For fans of Pixies and The Fall.

Gonzo Dog

“For those of us that spend our time in the independent venues of Newcastle, Gonzo Dog should be a name that is instantly recognisable. Composed of Guthrie and DJ Carbomb, their live performances have become iconic and their sound is a dark, electronic collage. The duo dropped a stunning array of sounds on their self-titled 2021 New Year’s Day release and have gone on to further perfect their unique style with their newest EP.

Gonzo Dog perform gigs frequently, and these live performances are an important aspect of the Gonzo Dog identity. Guthrie unpredictably manoeuvres around the stage during their performances, always keeping the audience on their toes, then ends by rolling around on the floor.” - Narc Magazine.
