The return of Armstrong Bridge’s Storytellers Streetband with ‘A Mummers Winter Ceilidh'. "A story of Global Warming" sold out last Christmas!
'Wrapped up for Christmas?’ is written by Ken Patterson with new folk dance tunes composed by Stu and Fi Finden of Whapweasel. Come ready to join in with called dances, songs, a mummers play and storytelling.
"As Jack Frost tries to seize Winter into her icy grasp the Sun Queen’s warmth proves too much. She, in turn, calls upon Sir Geordie and then Dr Blood to seek out and reveal Baron Big Oil's insidious curse. But it's Father Christmas's intervention which identifies the problem and calls upon all present to save Winter." Guesting: Chris and Cleone Bostock. In 2023, Rosie Calvert and Will Finn bring new songs to the show and Chris McConway takes on the role of Baron Big Oil.
