Directed by Olivier Assayas, a psychological thriller blending supernatural horror with a poignant character study that merges visceral dread with deeper observations about its causes. The film stars Kristen Stewart as Maureen Cartwright, a young American living in Paris who works as a celebrity personal shopper. Maureen is also a medium, like her recently deceased twin brother, Lewis, with whom she shared a deep spiritual connection.
Maureen’s attempts to communicate with Lewis from beyond the grave while grappling with her own grief and uncertainty about her future. Throughout the film, Maureen experiences strange occurrences that suggest she may be receiving messages from Lewis or other supernatural entities.
Escalating as Maureen begins receiving mysterious text messages from an unknown sender, challenging her understanding of reality and pushes her to confront her fears.
