A statement from director Nitin Sawhney,
“We created this film with extraordinary Palestinian children in the village of Seifa and Jabaliya refugee camp in Northern Gaza. Working on this film and our participatory media workshops in Gaza from 2010-2013 was the most memorable time of my life, and transformed us all so deeply.
Now 10 years later it's been heart-wrenching seeing the lives of these young Palestinians devastated by yet another catastrophic war and disastrous blockade of Gaza. I hope this film offers a special window into their lives to help humanize their everyday reality, joy and aspirations.”
The attendees are encouraged to support contributions for humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza. There are many dedicated organizations including the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), Palestine Children's Relief Fund (PCRF), and Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). You can donate to any of them online at UNRWA.org, PCRF.net & MAP.org.uk
