David J Guy presents his debut bookwork, titled The Realm, along with an accompanying exhibition showcasing a curated selection of images from the series.

The Realm, is intended as a narrative reflection of his life as a DJ and cultural agitator – from 2008 to 2024 – selected and sequenced to tell the clouded tale of an imaginary night of partying, an homage to the people, places and moments that he encountered during his many years venturing in Newcastles nightlife.

Purposefully avoiding the full-frontal flash, lifestyle portraiture usually associated with club photography, abstract light works sit alongside glimpsed moments to allude to liminal shared memories and empirical encounters.

Following an opening between 6-9pm on Saturday 5th October, the exhibition will be viewable during cinema opening times for two weeks until Saturday 19th October
