This Resurrection Sunday, join us for a rare treat: the bafflingly chaotic zombie-rock epic HARD ROCK ZOMBIES!
Jessie and his band get a gig in a small town with a mayor who hates that rock and roll music. On their way, they pick up a hitchhiker named Elsa, who invites them to stay the weekend at her house and then brutally murders them all with the help of her strange family. But wait! Jessie had previously recorded a song with an ancient Latin spell to resurrect the dead. His would-be girlfriend Cassie finds the tape and plays it at his grave, bringing the band back to play One Last Show and get revenge on Elsa and her family. But how will they stop the zombie plague now taking over the town?
Along the way, you'll be treated to some truly jaw-dropping 'what did I just watch' sequences including a voyeuristic Play-Doh-faced ghoul man; Secret Hitler; and a werewolf in a wheelchair -- and that's just in the first 40 minutes.
Recently restored in its completely uncut composite version, sourced from the only known 35mm film elements with video inserts; thanks to the American Genre Film Archive and Vinegar Syndrome
