Classic comedy whodunnit set over the Christmas period. The film stars William Powell and Myrna Loy as Nick and Nora Charles, the original wisecracking husband and wife detective duo in this adaptation of the Dashiell Hammett novel.

Nick Charles, a retired detective spending the Christmas holiday in New York with his wife Nora, unwillingly finds himself pressed back into service to investigate the disappearance of an old friend Clyde Wynant (the "thin man" of the title). What starts out as a missing persons case soon turns into something more sinister and Nick and Nora find themselves on the hunt for a murderer - ably assisted by Asta the dog and more than a few dry martinis.
