Start the New Year on a roll!

Why not begin 2025 with a little bit of skate care and self-love? SKATE FIX will look at helping you pamper your skates as well as yourself. A day of DIY activity bringing the skating community together in a family-friendly, fun, and supportive space for the start of the new season.

Featuring:

• Quad skate maintenance demos  - general overview, bearings, cushions, lacing

• Fixer stations include toe stops, bearings, cushions, taping, pad & velcro stitching.

Why are we fundraising?

We’re 100% volunteer-led, skater-owned and operated, so all fundraising goes directly towards making Newcastle Roller Derby even more awesome. Supporting us supports more people accessing this amazing sport from training our new intake, weekly practices, first aid training and resources, to hosting our own events and traveling to away games locally, nationally and globally.

Newcastle Roller Derby is an athletic and social non­profit organisation, striving for athletic excellence and competitive success in the growing world of roller derby. We host quality sporting events for our fans at our home venue the Benfield Sports Centre and the Walker Dome where our two travel teams, the Canny Belters (A team) and the Whippin’ Hinnies (B team) play regularly.
