After a slight hiatus we recommence our screenings of Krzysztof Kieślowski's acclaimed trilogy of films based on the colours of the French flag.
White, the second of the series, deals with the theme of equality. Polish immigrant Karol Karol (Zbigniew Zamachowski) finds himself out of a marriage, a job and a country when his French wife, Dominique (Julie Delpy), divorces him after six months. Forced to leave France after losing the business they jointly owned, Karol enlists fellow Polish expatriate to smuggle him back to their homeland.
The final part of the trilogy Three Colours: Red screens on the 2nd November.
