The groundbreaking Oscar®-nominated documentary Food, Inc. ignited a cultural conversation about the multinational corporations that control our food system at enormous cost to our planet, workforce and health.

In the well-timed sequel, Food, Inc. 2, comes “back for seconds” to reveal how corporate consolidation has gone unchecked by our government, leaving us with a highly efficient yet shockingly vulnerable food system dedicated only towards increasing profits.

The film takes a fresh look at our vulnerable food system since their first film Food Inc 1 in 2014. Multinational corporations have tightened their stronghold on US governments, robbed workers of a fair living wage and contributed to the global proliferation of ultra-processed foods along with a chemically formulated international health crisis.

This has direct consequences for us here in the UK. There are only a few large companies now controlling what is grown and what is on sale in supermarkets around the world.

The film focuses on corporate consolidation in the American food and agriculture business.

It centers innovative farmers, future-thinking food producers, workers’ rights activists and prominent legislators Senator Cory Booker and Senator Jon Tester who are facing these companies head on to inspire change and build a healthier, more sustainable future.

The film is in the English Language with English subtitles and closed captions
