Come and dance to the music of Storytellers Streetband with guests: Star and Shadow Rapper, Chris Bostock the storytellers and Chris McConway as Baron Big Oil.

A folk ceilidh with jigs and reels to original street band tunes, with the thrills of rapper sword to watch. Between the dances there’s a mummers story told: Old Father Time’s world is out of balance: it’s all too hot for him and the Sun Queen. He calls upon Geordie the Knight to look for military solutions, Doctor the Medic for scientific insight, but everyone knows that it’s Baron Big Oil who is behind the seasonal chaos.

It’s Father Christmas who calls upon us all to rid the world of Baron Big Oil’s tyranny by changing our lifestyles…….

Using the traditions of historical Mummers plays, present day issues are tackled with themes of ecology and climate warming. A script by Ken Patterson and compositions from Stu and Fi Finden of Whapweasel.
