8.45 - 10.00: Sir Henry at Rawlinson End (1980, Dir. Steve Roberts)

In The Pawnborker, critically acclaimed Rod Steiger plays Sol Nazerman, a Jewish pawnbroker who survived imprisonment in a Nazi concentration camp, even though his wife and family did not. The devastating experience and unrelenting memories inhibit Sol from emotional involvement with life.

Directed by excellent director Sidney Lumet (12 Angry Men, Dog Day Afternoon, Network...), Rod Steiger got an Oscar for his performance in this film.

In Sir Henry at Rawlinson End, Trevor Howard plays the eponymous English aristocrat in this obscure little feature based on Vivian Stanshall's surreal radio monologues. A classic.

Live set from none the less than Maximo Park's Duncan Lloyd! Yes, the very guitar player from Maximo Park at the Star and Shadow!...His excellent solo album, Seeing Double, was released in October 2008.

...Followed by dancing with prestty amazing DJs: with a Field Music DJ set + two thirds of Maximo Park aka Mister and Mister (Tom English and Paul Smith).
