ORDER OF EVENTS.

The Two Films and Three Talks/ Demonstrations are timed so that everyone should be able to watch at least one film and attend a Growing Veg talk. Book each event separately.

The Growing Veg talks are the same talk repeated throughout the day. (45 minutes in length)

Tickets for films and talks are on sale via our website. There are  £0.00 priced tickets also.

The Café will be open for the day selling hot food and all refreshments.

The films will have English subtitles. The talks will have a BSL Interpreter.

 

11am – 12.30:  Film -  Food Inc 2. 90 minutes long.

Documenatry looks at multinational corporations controling our food system at enormous cost to our planet, workforce and health. With English Subtitles and Closed Captions. Trigger warning: Contains scenes of animal cruelty.

To entice people to come and watch a serious subject early in the day, the ticket price for Food Inc 2 will include a coffee & a local bakery pastry!!.

 

11am – 11.45pm: Talk (1) on Growing Veg. 45 minutes long.

How to grow food in a backyard or on a balcony to reduce reliance on the industrial food system. With BSL Interpreter.

 

1pm – 1.45pm Talk (2) on Growing Veg. 45 minutes long.

How to grow food in a backyard or on a balcony to reduce reliance on the industrial food system. With BSL Interpreter.

 

2pm – 3.40pm: Film  - Farming the Revolution 105 minutes long.

Documentary looks at the massive year-long protests against the Indian government’s then newly enacted farm laws during the COVID lockdown. Original Languages: Panjabi and Hindi with English Subtitles.

 

2.30pm – 3.15pm Talk (3) on Growing Veg. 45 minutes long.
