"PerHaps Now": A DIY Performance Event + DRAG AFTER PARTY

Do you enjoy performance or art? Are you queer or queer adjacent? Are you looking for something strange to splice up your ordinary autumnal week? 

If yes, then you probably need to leave the house and join us for some raw queer performance, workshops, and DRAG.

Jam packed with Newcastle’s emerging performance artists, PerHaps Now will fill your Saturday with unexpected delights. It’s camp, it’s clowny, it’s DIY, and it’s coming to Star and Shadow Cinema. 

Expect singing stones, dancing peas, bungee cords, and some carefully curated chaos.

This will be the debut show of The Performance Troupe, a newly formed group making collaborative and alternate art in Newcastle Upon Tyne. Members include Zoe Kendall, Lucy Heaton, Abi Fletcher, Amy Finch, Gen Mungo, Jenni Mac, LC Crim and Liberty Hodes.

And if you’re thinking – ‘I fancy me some of that’ – then we have two incredible workshops so you can join the experimentation yourself.

Hosted by Tiny Temper with drag king performances by Vick the Prick, Veggie Stripper, the DGA collective, and Gizmo Gables.

Plus DJ sets by Abby Harris and DJ awkward Black Girl.

We have invited Newcastle's beloved queer scene to put on a hip-thrusting, heavily bearded show for you. It’s not often that you see a drag night dedicated to King’s, so we’ve put Tiny Temper up to the task of making that dream a reality. Let’s just say if you’re not there, then you’re really missing out. 

The after party event will take place at Star and Shadow Cinema, and starts at 10pm and run till 1am. BUT ENTRANCE WILL NOT BE PERMITTED AFTER 11PM!

We recommend you buy ONE ticket which will cover you for the whole event (Workshops, The Performance Showcase + The After Party)
