Video Production Workshop – Video Editing

Saturday, 19th October, 1:30 pm – 5:30 pm

Learn the basics of video editing through live demonstrations and hands-on practice. In this session, we’ll edit together a short film shot during Part 3 of the workshop using DaVinci Resolve (free software). You’re welcome to bring your own laptop if you'd like to follow along and practice. All levels are welcome, and support will be provided for installing the software in advance if needed.

Important Information:

• Confirm Your Attendance: You will receive an email requesting your attendance confirmation, which you must reply to in order to secure your spot.
• Optional: If you want to practice on your own laptop, please bring your laptop with DaVinci Resolve installed. We’ll have a live editing session where I’ll walk you through the basics and guide the group through the editing process. A laptop is not required for participation, as we will be doing a collaborative editing session. If you need help installing DaVinci Resolve or want access to the footage we filmed, contact me before the session or arrive 30 minutes early.
• Space is Limited: There are only 15 spots available, first-come, first-served. Priority will be given to Star and Shadow volunteers who attended previous sessions. A waiting list will be in place if the workshop fills up, and volunteers will be called first as spots open. This workshop is for adults only (18+).
